New Hope Community Church, Toronto
Pray that God would give each person a heart of outreach and compassion for their neighbour. Pray that New Hope would be able to reach many families in the community with the gospel. Pray for each of us to be listening attentively to the Spirit’s leading and learning to be like Christ in our everyday, ordinary lives. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the leadership and a strong sense of love and community in the church family.
Garrison Rd. Church, Fort Erie
Making our church a house of prayer.
One of our goals for 2017 was to create a greater awareness of prayer in our midst. To that end we took the room beside the stage and turned it into a “Prayer Hub.” This room is available throughout the week and during our Sunday morning services for times of prayer and contemplation. The room has a map of Fort Erie, a map of the missions and missionaries we support, and various other items conducive to prayer. But it is also a place to just experience the Lord’s presence.
In the few months since this room was completed, we have experienced God moving in mighty ways. However, one of the things we didn’t expect was that a small number of people in our church would be diagnosed with chronic conditions. Some of these illnesses teeter on the terminal. We have had to relearn the reality that prayer is not a magic pill that will protect us from all that life can throw at us Instead, prayer is coming to a place where we trust God to guide us, lead us, and be our comfort throughout the challenges of life.
Please continue to pray that this room will be a place of ministry and blessing. Also pray that we will sense the presence of God in a significant way as we reach out to our community.
Grace U.B. Church Sherkston
Pray for the impact of our summer outreach events, VBS, Car Show, Sherkston Shores & The Ruth Benner Memorial Block Party.
For our new summer intern Tom Goodwin as he gives leadership to Sherkston Shores and Youth Group.
That our people would take seriously the opportunities given to us for friendship evangelism.
Roseville U.B. Church, Roseville
That we, who know Jesus, would be more consistent in sharing His love and truth with the people God places around us.
That those who are seeking would find salvation.
That broken families would be healed and marriages strengthened.
That ministries for children, youth, young adults and others would meet needs and grow disciples into disciplemakers.
Wisdom and insight to plan according to God’s purposes for us.
Living Hope Church, Port Elgin
That we would continue to grow in our understanding of what it means to be the church in our community; to take up that call with increasing boldness.
For the ongoing transition of leadership, giving support and ownership.
To see an ever-deepening desperation for more of Christ, a growing trust and devotion.
That God would expand our vision for what it means to be a beacon, a lighthouse
in a rural community.
That He would guide the process of leadership transition, using it all for great good.
That we would fall in love with Him more every day and live out that blessing without hesitation in new and creative ways, in joyful obedience to the Spirit.
The Village Church, Stevensville
> As our new pastor, Dan Desilest, settles into ministry here, pray that he and his family would know the love and support of the entire church family, that they would quickly feel at home in the community, and that God would give him wisdom and direction to lead us forward.
> Pray that our church family will be united in our worship of God, fellowship with one another, and desire to reach out into our community with the Gospel. Ask God to help believers confront and remove any issues or problems that threaten this unity.
> Pray that more and more we would become authentic disciples of Christ who are learning, growing and producing fruit, and in turn making more disciples.
> Pray that God would bring young families—and people of all ages—into the church, that He would raise up committed workers and leaders, and give vision and direction as we look for ways in which we can impact our community for Christ.
Parkwood Gardens Community Church, Guelph
Parkwood Gardens Church had the groundbreaking for our new expansion on June 11th, and hope to be in our new gymnasium addition by January. Pray that everything goes will with the project, and that people will be won to Christ through the many ministries that will happen through this new resource. Pray for God’s leading as we develop our next five-year vision. Pray that our leaders and congregation will keep our eyes on Jesus as we make disciples through “Impacting People for Christ!”
