Jesus\u2019 invitation is for everyone. \u201cThen He said to His disciples, \u2018The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.’\u201d <\/em>(Matthew 9:37, 38) \u201cThen Jesus came to them and said, \u2018All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’\u201d<\/em> (Matthew 28:18-20)<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a world where many are disadvantaged, we intentionally come alongside the hurting and the marginalized at home and abroad, sharing help and hope. \u201cLearn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.\u201d <\/em> (Isaiah 1:17) \u201cAnd what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.\u201d <\/em> (Micah 6:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bible, the inspired Word of God, is our ultimate authority for discerning God\u2019s will for our lives or for living a life that pleases God and is ultimately best for us. \u201cAll scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.\u201d <\/em>(2 Timothy 3:16,17) \u201cKeep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.\u201d <\/em> (Joshua 1:8) \u201cDo your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.\u201d <\/em> (2 Timothy 2:15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n The United Brethren Church in Canada seeks the middle ground on issues where equally devout Christians have understood God\u2019s Word differently. We reach out to partner with all who are centred upon Jesus Christ. We stand firm on Biblical absolutes but allow freedom where the Bible allows it and seek to maintain unity when disagreements arise. God has made each of us unique, with varied talents, gifts, abilities, background, heritage and even interpretations of spiritual truth. He expects us to work together, in spite of our differences to fulfill His purposes for us and for the world. \u201cI in them and you in me, so that they may be brought to complete unity.
